We will be updating the Anaplan infrastructure to further strengthen the security, deliverability, and performance of our platform. Read this how to guide and FAQs to prepare for this change and ensure a smooth transition.
This change will specifically impact customers who use domain and IP allow listing (i.e whitelisting) to access CloudWorks to allow access to and from Anaplan CloudWorks services and the data stored in cloud systems like AWS S3, Google Big Query and Azure Blob storage.
If you are affected by this change, you will have received notification from us via email.
To prepare for this change, we ask affected customers to take the following actions before April 13, 2023.
What you will need to do:
- If you are not in charge of your organization’s information technology or security teams, identify the appropriate contacts in those teams to coordinate with. You will need their action for the following steps.
- Verify whether your organization uses domain and IP allow lists to access Anaplan via CloudWorks.
- If yes:
- Identify all systems (for use with integrations and/or platform access) that require CloudWorks domains and IP addresses to be specifically allowed
- Review the listed domains and/or IP ranges on this Domain and IP ranges page (check the “Url” column for “CloudWorks”)
- Check the current rules on your own firewalls or proxies on the identified systems/servers/networks.
- Add any listed domains and IP ranges not yet implemented on these firewalls/proxies before April 13, 2023.
- Once complete, please inform your Customer Success Business Partner.
- If no, you are done.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is changing and why?
Anaplan is updating our infrastructure to further strengthen the security, deliverability, and performance of our platform. Additional domain and IP ranges may need to be added for customers who use domain and IP allow listing (i.e whitelisting) to access CloudWorks to allow access to and from Anaplan CloudWorks services and the data stored in cloud systems like AWS S3, Google Big Query and Azure Blob storage.
When is this change happening?
This upgrade is targeted for April 13, 2023, from 8:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m PDT. Please note we are not anticipating any disruption to customers while this upgrade is taking place. We ask customers to take the following actions before April 13, 2023, to ensure a smooth transition.
Who is impacted?
Any customer that uses the following IP addresses for allow listing (i.e., whitelisting) with systems requiring Anaplan CloudWorks domains and IP addresses to be specifically allowed on their firewall/proxy is impacted.
eu1a.app.anaplan.com
94.31.44.4
eu2a.app.anaplan.com
195.122.182.10
165.254.21.74
195.12.254.113
What will happen if I do not complete the required actions in time?
If your organization runs integrations via Anaplan CloudWorks and you have not updated your firewall/proxy to allow the IP addresses listed on Domain and IP ranges page by April 13, 2023, it is possible that these CloudWorks Integrations which connect to Cloud Sources (such as Google Big Query, Azure Blob or AWS S3) may fail. We ask that you make any updates before the upgrade on April 13, 2023, to ensure a smooth transition.
Is an allow list something we should be using?
Customers do not need to use an allow list for connectivity to the Anaplan platform. It is the sole discretion of each customer to manage connectivity using an allow list or not.
Will I be notified of further allow list changes?
We will continue to update Domain and IP ranges on Support when allow list changes occur. It is the responsibility of each customer to manage any changes for their systems.
If I have additional questions, where can I go for help?
