We launched several new features in May, including User Uploaded Images and Chart updates.

Create a UX App, Page, and Category within the Modeling Experience: Within the modeling experience, Page Builders can  create a UX App, Page, and Category from the Pages tab. This will enable builders to quickly build out the UX content while building out their model.
Check out Anapedia for more information.

User Uploaded Images: Every tenant has a 3GB storage allocation which can be used to store images for use across UX pages, removing the need for third party image storage services and making this the ideal solution for storing logos, Report backgrounds, and imagery used to complement the data on your Boards and Management Reports.

There's no action required to use the Image Library - all users who are a Page Builder, Model Builder or Workspace Administrator within a tenant will be able to access the new assets space. All Page Builders can include images from the Image library when configuring an image card.

Please refer to Anapedia for more information:

Chart updates: We have split out the settings so users can modify their chart on a per-series basis. This allows the Page Builder greater flexibility to present key data and insights.

Check out the full list of updates below:

  • Visually improved chart selector showing the full charting library
  • Refresh of chart configuration panel to support multiple chart settings per series
    • Set the default chart setting behavior or override on a per-series basis
  • Additional chart setting options:
    • Axis side (moved to per-series settings)
    • Series stacked or clustered (moved to per-series settings)
    • Data label display can be set per series reducing the number of labels, which makes it clearer to read
    • Choose the shape and size of your chart marker
  • Change the style of your line to emphasize whether the data is for the current year forecast as a dashed line or prior year numbers as a split line. Line style includes:
    • Dot
    • Dash
    • Spline
  • Change font size, set the legend, axis, label, and title fond sizes on your chart

Column width settings: Page builders can adjust the Column Width Settings via the Right-Hand-Panel on a UX page. Meaning, you can set custom column widths for any grid in boards, worksheets, and reports. Page builders can also reduce column label height, which will mean reduced white space and cleaner looking grids.
Check out Anapedia for more information.

Double click to sort: End users can quickly sort columns ascending and descending by double-clicking a column on a grid in boards and worksheets.
Users can still also sort and un-sort using the toolbar menu or via the context menu as normal.
Check out Anapedia for more information.

Cancel a model process once it's started: Page Builders are able to decide, on a button-by-button basis, which should be provided with a cancel button and which should have this option disabled.

Select writable list items from a dropdown list: When editing a list item within a writable card in Excel, you  have the option to select your values from a dropdown list, thereby minimizing the occurrence of potential errors.

Auto-adjust columns width: When inserting a new card in Excel, the column width will automatically adjust to accommodate the data being inserted, removing the need for manual adjustments.

Disclaimer: Please note: The information here is subject to change right up to release go-live time. This post is not a commitment to provide any features by a certain time frame and enhancements to the product may change before release.

Smart Formatting: A New Modeling Experience feature that improves clarity and readability in building complex formulas. As a user types in the formula editor, it automatically:

  • Indents conditional logic
  • Adjusts spacing
  • Formats pasted logic to fit into the formula structure

You'll be able to turn off/on Smart Formatting from the Preferences menu (cog icon) in the editor toolbar.

Open and Edit UX Pages as Modeling Experience Tabs: Bring together model building and page building into a unified experience through opening and editing UX pages as tabs within the modeling experience. Model builders and page builders will be able to open a UX page as a tab in the same way they edit modules and lists today.

Line Item and View Usage in UX Pages: Model builders and page builders will be able to view the line items and views that are published onto a UX page from the Pages tab within the modeling experience.
