The ultimate output of this app is a forecast at the item/DC level that can be exported to Anaplan's supply planning tool.

Enable planners to only focus on items that need special attention and track exception review progress.
Plan item phase outs and incorporate corresponding scrap and/or discount costs in your financial plans.
Automatically correct the outliers in your history using multiple outlier correction methods built into the app.
Anaplan analyzes your item sales history and determines which of the 26 statistical time series forecasting methods in the app is the "best fit" then forecasts each item accordingly.

Exception Management

  • Focuses planners attention on real issues by utilizing predefined KPIs to highlight items with poor forecast accuracy.

Statistical Modeling

  • Anaplan automatically analyzes sales history to determine which of Anaplan's 26 statistical time series models is best fit. Planners can then fine tune the forecast or statistical parameters as needed.

Outlier Correction

  • Anaplan utilizes standard deviation and interquartile range to correct unwanted peaks and valleys in sales history establishing a strong foundation for a baseline forecast. If the automatic pass does not catch all outliers, planners can further manipulate history using Anaplan's sleek UI.

Demand Disaggregation

  • Anaplan's demand disaggregation feature allows planners to disaggregate the forecast using multiple methodologies to ensure the lowest level of the planning hierarchy has the most accurate forecast possible.
